JTC, SKF continue protest

JAMMU, June 19: The Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) president, Shadi Lal Pandita today urged the Government to accede the demands of the community immediately.
A strong protest was held in the Jagti township by the JTC and SKF activists in support of their demands on the 214th day of their agitation today.
Pandita, while addressing said that the Government should increase the monthly cash relief from Rs13, 000 to Rs 25,000, provide one job to each displaced family besides on spot recruitment drive be launched in police force in camp and non camp localities and an employment package of 20, 000 new jobs be announced for the community with 5000 class four posts and compensation for losses in shape of property and crops over the years suffered by community be released.
He also reiterated his demand for construction of three Satellite townships in North Kashmir, South Kashmir and Central Kashmir for rehabilitation of the community.
