Free vaccination to all a good step: Rekha

JAMMU, June 21: On the launch of “Vaccines For All – Free For All” programme of the Union Government, Rekha Mahajan, secretary, BJP Jammu & Kashmir, visited Public Health Centre, Trikuta Nagar, near here, today.
She was accompanied by Mahila Morcha IT incharge, Poonam Gupta and district general secretary, Divya Jain.
Rekha Mahajan, while elaborating, said that this is the world’s largest free vaccination campaign meant to provides vaccine ‘for all and free for all’ by the Narendra Modi led Government.
The Centre will provide free vaccines to the states for all citizens above the age of 18 years. For this purpose, the Centre will buy 75 per cent of the total vaccine production from vaccine manufacturers and give it to the State governments free of cost and no State Government will have spend even a single penny on it.
She also appreciated the decision made by PM that all above 18 years of age in the country will get free vaccination at Government facilities from June 21, adding that several states were already giving free vaccines to all in the 18-44 age group and Jammu Kashmir is one of them.
