JAMMU, June 22: J&K unit of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), expressed strong resentment for not receiving invitation from PMO for All Party meet being held in Delhi on June 24.
Addressing a press conference here today, J&K UT president of the BSP, SR Majotra strongly condemned the anti-Dalit and anti- poor decisions of the Centre Government and expressed his concerns that Bahujan Samaj Party represents the sentiments of Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes and majority of minority communities in the State particularly in Jammu Province.
He said the SC, ST,OBCs must realize the gravity of such decision when sentiments of 50 percent population are not taken into consideration. Therefore, the secular forces particularly, the Dalits and OBCs, minorities and others unite together to give a befitting reply to BJP in the elections to come.
Majotra said intentions of the BJP Government are not good towards the poor and down trodden people but they cook their means for the benefit of BJP minded people.
It is pertinent to mention that all concessions envisaged in the Constitution for the welfare of SC, ST, OBCs have not been implemented while granting UT Status to Jammu and Kashmir. Even the atrocities on Dalits have been increased manifold and the Police and Civil Administration are not registering the case under attrocities on SC Act.
The recent glaring mistake is of village Malhar Udhampur where SC people were mercilessly beaten but the culprits have not been booked under appropriate law. He appealed the general masses to strengthen the hands of Bahujan Samaj Party, which is fighting for the cause of poor Dalits, OBCs, ST’s and minorities.
Majotra was accompanied by Charanjeet Chargotra- vice president, Pritam Chand- general seceretary, Satish Koul- organising secretary, Hari Chand Thappa- general secretary, S. Raja Singh- cashier, Rakesh Dogra, Gurbaksh, Tilak Raj Bhagat- all secretaries, Pushap Kumar and Tarsem Lal- District presidents.
