JAMMU, June 23: Two Kashmiri Pandit organisations have sent an open letter to Prime Minister, Narendra Modi showing their resentment for not inviting them to the meeting on Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow.
Panun Kashmir (PK) convener, Dr Agnishekhar while showing his dismay over ignoring the Kashmiri Pandits said Government of India
has invited those leaders who always played half separatists politics by demanding greater autonomy, special status, Muslim sub nationalism, self rule, demilitarization, joint control etc.
It’s surprising that Government ignored KPs the real stake holders and unlike the UPA Government which invited PK in all the three Round Table Conferences it neglected them.
Letter said “Our exclusion tantamount to accepting Kashmir as exclusive Muslim domain”.
“The BJP Government invited those who are directly or indirectly responsible for our genocide and religious cleansing”,. This is an irony that who were half separatists and Gupkar Gangsters for this dispensation till yesterday are now being facilitated to improve credibility deficit”, the letter added.
“We ask for separate Homeland with UT status which is creation of geo political and geo strategic foothold in Kashmir”, the letter said.
“We demand passage of Panun Kashmir’s Genocide and Atrocities Prevention Bill-2020 in Parliament so that process of reversal of Genocide is accomplished,. We the victims of genocide and religious cleansing are shocked by our exclusion in this all party meet that was not expected from this Government”, the letter further added.
The another letter has been sent by All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) led by Desh Rattan which while expressing its concern on not inviting the displaced Pandits in the meeting drew the attention of PM towards the plight of the community.
It said community suffered immensely during 32 year long terrorism in the Valley besides losing hundreds of its members in the terrorists attacks and planned massacres their property has been looted , houses and business establishments gutted while the agriculture and horticulture land encroached upon.
It said Pandits are not opposed to delimitation but they must also be given their due share in legislative bodies, employment besides their encroached land and shrines be restored.
The AIMCCC also appealed the political parties to raise the issue of displaced Pandits in the meeting with PM to seek his attention towards them.
