JAMMU, June 24: The activists of Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) held a demonstration here at Dogra Chowk today in protest against inviting the main stream leaders to the meet by the PMO in New Delhi while ignoring over five lakh displaced Kashmiri Pandits– the main stakeholders.
The demonstration was led by YAIKS president, R K Bhat who is also GKPD North India coordinator. The protestors including men and women were with placards and banners in their hands raising slogans that Kashmir belongs to them and no solution to the problem was possible without taking the displaced Pandits on board.
They also accused the Government of ignoring the plight of displaced Pandits who are the worst sufferers of terrorism and were leading an exiled life for last 32 years outside the Valley.

The decisions taken on the basis of discussions held in any meeting, initiated and called by GOI with the leaders of mainstream political parties of JK for the resolution of internal issues shall equally affect us too,” he added.

As such we demand to invite the grass root level representatives of KPs as well to a meeting soon with Prime Minister and Home Minister of India”.
“In the reorganization of UT of JK, we demand to reserve two Parliament and four Assembly constituencies for Pandits in Jammu and Kashmir”. “Political reservation for our community and to safeguard our temples and shrines are the only medium to save future of next generation of Kashmiri Pandits and to reconnect them to their lost roots”, he said.
