UDHAMPUR, June 24: Udhampur police today worked out a theft case and recovered stolen property besides arresting two accused persons.
The theft had taken place at the shop of Rochak Mahajan, son of Ashok Kumar Gupta of Ward number 14, Dhar Road, Udhampur and a case FIR number 216/2021 U/S 457/380 IPC was registered in this connection.
A special team of PS Udhampur, led by SHO Chaman Gorka, under the supervision of Sahil Mahajan, Dysp Hqrs Udhampur, conducted raids in different suspected locations and zeroed in some suspects. During the sustained questioning of these suspects, one of them broke down and confessed the commission of the offence following which he was arrested.
On his disclosure, his other associate involved in the case was also arrested by the police. The identity of the accused thieves was established as Suresh Kumar son of Hem Raj of Kallar, Udhampur and Wasim Akram son of Mohd Saleem of Kawa, Udhampur.
On their disclosure, the stolen property items like Desi Ghee and Refined oil of approximate worth Rs 60500 was recovered.
