JAMMU, June 27: A young man belonging to Akhnoor area died of poisoning today.
According to police sources, a 30-year-old man namely Mukesh Kumar son of Gopal Dass of Bharda Kalan (Akhnoor) was brought by his family members to Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor after he allegedly consumed some poisonous substance.
After providing initial treatment, the doctors at SDH Akhnoor referred the patient to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
The body of the deceased was sent for postmortem while Akhnoor police had taken cognizance of the matter.
