JAMMU, June 27: Bishan Singh has been elected as new President of Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha, J&K, Jammu, election results of which were announced yesterday.
He secured 371 votes and defeated Davinder Singh, was got only 120 votes. Out of total 943 votes of the Sabha, 497 were polled while six of them were declared invalid.
Ranjit Singh has been declared elected unopposed for the post of Senior Vice-President while Jagdish Singh was elected as Vice-President. Jagdish Singh got 328 votes and Wakeel Singh was polled 163 votes.
The results were announced by Mangleshwar Singh, who was Returning Officer for the election. With the announcement of results, the new body of Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha has been elected for the next three years.
