EDB launches KCC, ATM cards

SRINAGAR, June 22:   Ellaquai Dehati Bank (EDB) became the first regional Bank of the State to launch KCC-ATM and ATM RuPay Debit Card.
Launching the card, Farooq Ahmad Shah, District Development Commissioner Srinagar, appreciated the role played by the Bank in the economic development of the State. He said that the State has a vast potential for growth and being a consumer State, young and unemployed youth has an opportunity to make employ themselves in productive activities.
Earlier, welcoming the chief guest, A K Razdan, chairman of the Bank, highlighted the achievements of the Bank. He said that the Bank is adopting the modern banking technology and taking it to the doorsteps of the people living in rural and far flung areas.
He said Bank has a number of loan products for agriculture development, small business and unemployed youth.
Rakesh Raina, AGM, Reserve Bank of India, Des Raj, AGM, NABARD, D N Bhat, General Manager (Credit) and S A Qureshi, General Manager (GB) of the Bank were also present.
