Two criminals arrested with illegal arms

JAMMU, July 1: Chinore and Miran Sahib Police arrested two criminals along with illegal arms.
As per police sources, on specific information regarding concealing of some arms, a team from Police Post Chinore led by SI Avtar Krishan Choudhary conducted raid in a house and recovered three sharp edged weapons.
Police arrested one person, who was identified as Fayaz Ahmed Shah, son of Sarwar Shah of Gigal Uri, at present Lane Number 4 Poonch Colony Bantalab District Jammu. The arms were intended to carry out criminal acts.
A case under FIR Number 179/2021 under Section 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
The recovery of the illegal arms and arrest of the accused person took place under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul, SP Rural Sanjay Sharma and SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Mirza Sultan under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan laid a naka and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered one indigenous pistol from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Navjot Singh alias Bablu, son of Amar Singh of Indira Nagar Miran Sahib. During sustained questioning, one more revolver was recovered from his possession.
A case under FIR Number 77/2021 under Section 3/25 Arms Act was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started.
It is pertinent to mention that the accused is a notorious criminal and has been involved in several FIRs and also PSA earlier.
