J&K Police officer among 11 deployed for UNMISS

JAMMU, July 2: Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered deployment of 11 officers including one from Jammu and Kashmir Police for United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).
The officers, who have been deployed are, SSP Jatinder Singh Johar from J&K, DySP Sahir SM from Kerala Police, Inspector Sateesh Ch Reddy from Telangana, Inspector Pherbak Singh Marwein from Meghalaya, 2IC Pankaj Chowdhry from CRPF, 2IC Rajesh Singh from SSB, Inspector Gopikrishan Shreedharan and ASP Pranay Kumar Nagvanshi from Madhya Pradesh, Inspector Prakesh KS from Kerala Police, Inspector P Sita from Telangana and Inspector Paramjit Kaur from Chandigarh.
While deploying police personnel, United Nations Police Division has request to follow UN guidelines on COVID-19 and quarantine. The officers should have COVID-19 free certificate with a validity of 72 hours while travelling.
The officers have been directed to report to the National UNCIVPOL Center, ITBP, New Delhi on July 9, 2021 to complete the travel formalities on time and ensure smooth movement to mission UNMISS (South Sudan).
