KATHUA, June 22: Drug and Food Controller Organization (D&FCO) today booked two medical shops being run without Drug Retail License.
A team of D&FCO, under the supervision of Assistant Controller conducted an extensive tour of border areas of the district and booked Joginderpaul at Maharajpur Tehsil Hiranagar and Premi Chand of Hiranagar for running medical shops illegally.
Drugs worth Rs 5000 were also seized from these persons, while action as warranted under Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 was initiated against them.
Meanwhile, D&FCO has impressed upon the dealers to strictly adhere to the provisions of Drug & Cosmetics Act 1940 & Rules 1945, failing which action will be taken against the violators as per law.
