2 killed, 8 Vaishno Devi pilgrims injured in accidents

KATHUA, June 22:  Driver of a truck bearing number JK08 A 9075 died after his vehicle turned turtle at Hiranagar More today.
He has been identified Manjit Singh, son of Kapoor Singh of Shiva Nagar, Kathua. The truck was on its way from Lakhanpur to Jammu. The truck which was in fast speed rolled down of the road at Hiranagar More and the driver got seriously injured. He was shifted to Sub District Hospital Hiranagar where he succumbed to his injuries. The Hiranagar Police has registered a case.
In another incident a school girl Mehak Manhas daughter of Vijay Manhas of Smailpur was knocked down by a bus at Sarore near Bari Brahmana. She died on spot. She was going to tuition when the accident took place. But the bus fled from the spot. The eye witness have traced the number of the bus which was on its way from Jammu to  Samba. The Bari Brahmana Police has registered a case.
Meanwhile, eight Vaishno Devi pilgrims were injured who were on their way from Aligarh to holy town of Katra after their vehicle bearing number DL1 VA74 met an accident at Kartholi Bari Brahmana early this morning. They have been shifted to GMC Jammu for treatment. The Bari Brahmana Police has registered a case.
