JAMMU, July 3: Jammu Muslim Front (JMF) has termed the termination of Darbar Move as a hasty step which has left several questions unanswered.
Shuja Zaffar, JMF chairman asked why such order has been issued when the delimitation is in progress and elections round the corner and why this decision not left to the future popular government.
In a handout, Zaffar said that doing away with Darbar Move practice will affect the business of Jammu and it will widen the gap between the people of J&K.
“This order has killed the spirit and purpose behind the practice of Darbar Move and such order will force the closer of small business houses whose main customers were Kashmiris,” he claimed.
The JMF leader has appealed to J&K LG to revisit the order so that the people to people contact in J&K may remain intact.
“The order may save Rs 200 crore but the wedge it will create between the people and losses to the business will be more,” he maintained.
