MP for completion of pending road projects

NOWSHERA, June 23: Senior Congress leader and Member Parliament from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha Constituency Madan Lal Sharma today called upon the Government agencies to complete all pending road projects in the area on priority.
Addressing series of public meetings in Nowshera and parts of Chhamb constituencies today, the Congress MP regretted that some roads initiated even during his tenure as R&B Minister and as an MLA are still pending in the area. He maintained that people of the area are facing great problems because of discrimination with them. He described it as unfair and unjustified.
The MP also felt the need to make people aware of various Centrally sponsored and social protection schemes as people do not have enough information about them.  He directed the sectoral officers from Health, Agriculture, Social Welfare, RDD, Education to conduct awareness session and distribute literature in local language along with eligibility criteria and formats to enable people for benefits under such schemes. The MP congratulated the people on the occasion of Kabir Jayanti  and Kul Devi/ Devta Meets at Neeli Nullah, Peeli and Dori Dager  and prayed for the welfare of the community.
Earlier, addressing the gathering Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Sharma assured the people of this belt safe and adequate drinking water. He assured that tubewells will be constructed to ensure adequate supply of water. Kuldip Raj Verma from OBC Board, Madan Mohan, Narayan Sarpanch, Angrezu Ram and others also spoke on the occasion.
