JAMMU, June 23: To know about the whereabouts of the yatris from J&K who had gone for holy pilgrimage of Chaar Dham, the Jammu Divisional administration is in constant touch with their counterpart of Garhwal Division in Uttrakhand.
An official spokesman said that the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Pardeep Gupta is in constant touch with Divisional Commissioner of Garhwal Division of Uttrakhand State which is epicenter of devastation caused by the recent cloudburst/ flash floods in the ill fated State.
The spokesman said that the Divisional Commissioner Jammu has set up a Control Room in his office with telephone No 0191-2478999/0191-2478991 and 0191-2478997 (fax) for receiving calls from the people seeking information regarding the whereabouts of their near ones who have not returned back from the pilgrimage of various holy places in the State of Uttrakhand. The Control Room will remain functional on all working days from 9-30 am to 5-00 pm.
