UDHAMPUR, July 7: Continuing its drive against smuggling of narcotics and psychotropic substance, Udhampur Police today arrested two drug peddlers and seized 200 grams heroin from them.
The arrested accused, identified Imtiaz Ahmed son of Mohd Ashraf of Khairi, Udhampur and Amir Farooq Khan son of Farooq Ahmed Khan of Sairi Bazar, Bhaderwah, were apprehended by a Police party of PS Udhampur, led by SHO Inspr Chaman Gorka during a naka at Jakhani.
In this connection, a case FIR number 255/2021, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.
With this consignment, Police party of PS Udhampur has succeeded in recovery of 470 grams of heroin during current the week.
