Traffic restored on Bani-Bhaderwah road

KATHUA, July 7: After a long wait of one month, the GREF succeeded in constructing a temporary Valley bridge at Asso on Sewa river and restored the traffic movement on Bani -Bhaderwah road.
A Valley bridge was raised at Asso which was formally inaugurated by Beacon chief Engineer, Brig. I K Jaggi accompanied by OC114 RCC Parmodh Kumar, SDM Bani, Joginder Singh and prominent citizens of the area.
Brig I K Jaggi drew his vehicle on the bridge. The bridge has 110 metre length having loading capacity of 24 Tonnes. While addressing Brig IK Jaggi said that the Beacon is executing the Bani -Bhaderwah road widening works from Lowang to Chatergala. He said the construction of five bridges on route to Bhaderwah also be started shortly as there were some issue of design which has been sorted out and works would be started soon.
The people of Bani heaved a sigh of relief after construction of belly bridge at Asso as the traffic movement was immediately stopped after the old bridge got damaged due plying of heavy loaded vehicles over it and later it was stopped for vehicular traffic.
