JAMMU, July 7: Drawing attention of the Government towards missing Dogri and Hindi language from the recently installed several big Smart City Sign Boards in Jammu City, National Secular Forum has appealed Lt Governor Manoj Sinha to issue necessary instructions to the concerned authorities to rectify the `intentional’ grave mistake.
Talking to media persons, here today, NSF President Dr Vikas Sharma strongly criticized the local authorities dealing with installation of these Sign Boards in English only and thus playing with sentiments of Jammu people.
Citing the examples of others cities including Srinagar where Sign Boards depict Hindi and local languages along with English language, he sought to know the reason why the Sign Board in Jammu are only in English.
Dr Vikas appealed the Lt Administration to take corrective measures and look into this gross lapse of ignoring Hindi, Dogri languages in Smart City Sign boards.
