Bani police rescues 8 bovines

KATHUA, July 7: Acting tough against the illegal activities of bovine smugglers within the district, Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal- today rescued eight bovines from Bhandhar area of Bani Police Station (PS).
Police said a team of Police Station (PS) Bani under the supervision of SHO Bani while on patrolling duty near Bhandhar noticed that one person was taking the bovines by foot. Police team apprehended him. He was identified as Gulab Din, son of Senha of Siara Challa, tehsil Bani, district Kathua who was carrying eight bovines from Bhandhar towards Sarthal -Bhaderwah which were presumably being taken without any legal permission and were rescued on spot.
Accordingly a case FIR No. 43/2021 U/S 188/IPC has been registered at PS Bani and further investigation has been started.
