JAMMU, June 24: As a part of ongoing Operation Sadbhavana, Gigrial Battalion, based at Akhnoor under the aegis of Cross Sword Division, provided furniture items and inaugurated the much needed drinking water facility at Khour and surrounding villages in block Jourian.
On the occasion, Commander, Sentinel of Chenab Brigade, was the chief guest, who took the opportunity to reiterate the Army’s pledge to render the continued support and assistance to the local populace.
While speaking, Commander motivated the youth to join the Army and extend their services to the nation.
150 plastic chairs and 12 plastic tables were distributed to Panchayat Ghar and Community Hall of villages, Hamirpur Sidhar, Pangali, Sainth, Gigrial, Dehriyan and Mattu.
Besides, drinking water facility was also provided to the villagers with the installation of 1000 litres plastic water tank each at villages Hamirpur Sidhar, Garadh, Mangiala Lalu and Gigrial of Khour Block.
