Mir visits KP employees colony

SRINAGAR, June 24:  Minister for Tourism, G.A. Mir today said that Government is committed to provide all basic amenities to Kashmiri Migrants, adding that in this regard several innovative measures have already been taken for Kashmir Migrant Pandit employees posted in Kashmir valley.
This was stated by the Minster while interacting with Kashmiri Pandit employees at Vessu, Anantnag.
The Minister assured the inhabitants of migrant colony that their genuine demands would be addressed through concerned departments at the earliest.  He directed concerned officers to look into these demands and other development needs of the migrants and ensure their redressal.
District Development Commissioners, Anantnag and Kulgam, Director School Education, Kashmir, Director Tourism Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Relief, Superintending Engineers, Hydraulic, R&B Anantnag, Chief Executive Officers, Anantnag and Kulgam besides executive Engineers EM&RE, Qazigund were present on the occasion.
The Kashmir Pandit employees brought some important issues to the notice of Tourism Minister which includes separate accommodation in lieu of shared occupancy at Vessu Colony, inter district and inter zone transfer of couples, setting up of ration depot and LPG outlet within the premises of colony, besides repairs of quarters and improvement in medicare facilities at the colony.
