JAMMU, June 24: Vacation Judge of High Court Justice Bansi Lal Bhat today stayed the selection of Aijaz Ahmed Mulla, son of Sadiq Ali of Nowapora Srinagar, who was selected through backdoor as trainer in J&K Entrepreneurship Devel-opment Institute.
According to the petition, private respondent Shabir Hussain applied for the post of trainer in J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute Vide advertisement noticed dated March 23, 2013 and appeared in the screening test. However, tables were turned on him when the selection list was published.
The petitioner although having better merit found his name missing in select list while as private respondent Aijaz Ahmed Mulla, who was absent during the screening test, figured at Serial No 2 of select list.
After hearing Advocate Ankush Manhas appearing for the petitioner, Justice Bansi Lal Bhat issued notice to the respondents. In the meanwhile, the High Court directed that impugned list qua the private respondent No 5 (Aijaz Ahmed Mulla) shall remain stayed till next date of hearing.
