UDHAMPUR, July 13: A young girl was crushed to death when a rashly driven truck hit a Scooty on the National Highway at Tikri, here today.
The deceased has been identified as Simriti, daughter of Sagar Singh, resident of Nagrota, Jammu. She was riding a Scooty along with Sham Singh son of Punjab Singh of Nagrota, who was also injured in the accident. He has been admitted to PHC Tikri.
The accident took place around 17:45 when the Scooty, bearing registration number JK02BX-0439 was hit by the Truck (JK02AR-9839), near Natraj Bar Tikri. Police shifted the injured persons to PHC Tikri where the girl was declared as brought dead.
Police has arrested driver of the truck and registered a case in this connection.
