JAMMU, July 13: The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DF&SS) staged protest demonstration against the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and alleged that the Corporation has utterly failed to de-silt sewerage nallahs in the city.
The protest was organised under the leadership of Front president, Ashok Gupta wherein the protestors were chanting slogans against the JMC during the protest rally. “The tall claims made by the JMC to keep city neat and clean have been exposed as major roads, lanes and sub-lanes at key intersections were chocked due to water-logging that too in just beginning of the monsoon,” the protestors said.
“Inundated Jammu does not go with the expected profile of it being a prime city and part of the ambitious ‘Smart City Project’, substantial installations of the signboards and landmarks could have waited for some more time and priority should have been given to the free-flow of drains and nallahs in the city,” said Ashok Gupta.
Deepu, Raj, Sham, Parveen, Prem, Kalu, Naresh, Bantu and many others were part of the protest demonstration.
