2 shops burgled in Mendhar

MENDHAR, June 25: Some unknown thieves broke the shutters of two shops in the town here last night and decamped with cash and goods worth over Rs 6 to 7 lakh.
Reports said the burglars barged into the Maniyari shop of Kuldip Gupta, resident of Ari in the town here and decamped with fresh currency notes worth Rs 3 lakh and some other goods. Then they broke the shop of Arif Hussain Billa and Inftikhar, both brothers and decamped with a lap top, some computer items and cell phones. They have projected the loss of property worth over Rs 4 lakh.
The police party led by SDPO Amit Bhasin visited the spot along with FSL team and started investigation. The police also got a clue with the recovery of an I-Card and purse of one of the alleged thieves. He is said to be an employee of Veterinary Department, hailing from village Bhata Dhurian. The police was looking for him.
