JAMMU, July 16: Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) during an inspection at Rampura area (of Gandhi Nagar) and its adjoining localities disconnected 18 illegal domestic connections of slum dwellers (Juggis) which were using power by hooking.
Inspection was conducted at 43 places and the disconnection of illegal connections will reduce overloading at power stations.
The entire operation was conducted on the directions of Superintending Engineer, Electric Circle I, Jammu and Executive Engineer, Electric Division II, JPDCL, Gandhi Nagar Jammu wherein the inspection team of Electric Sub Division-I, Green Belt was led by Assistant Executive Engineer along with other field staff.
JKPDCL has appealed to all the electric consumers to avoid use of power by illegal means if they want no overloading.
