Srinagar, July 17: A residential house was today gutted in a fire incident at Kunchpora village of north Kashmir’s Tangmarg area, rendering at least 3 families homeless.
As per reports, a fire broke out from the top floor of the house and in its ferocity raised the house to the ground. The cause of the fire, as per the officials, was a short circuit.
Three siblings Shabir Ahmad, Ghulam Nabi, Mushtaq Ahmad all sons of Ghulam Ahmad Chopan were residing in the house with their families
“They have been rendered homeless and have sustained a loss of lakhs of rupees,” the locals said.
Meanwhile, the fire victims have appealed to LG’s Administration besides district authorities for compensation.
