Pakistan violates ceasefire twice in 24 hrs in Poonch

JAMMU :  Pakistan troops violated ceasefire along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir twice in less than 24 hrs.
“Pakistan troops fired small arms at forward Indian posts between Doda Battalion and Saujiyan area at around 1045 hrs today,” S N Acharya, Jammu-based Public Relation Officer, Ministry of Defence, told.
The firing lasted for about 30 minutes, he added.
Mr Acharya said,”Indian troops also retaliated with small arms. No loss of life or damage to property was reported in the exchange of fire.”
This was the second incident of ceasefire violation by Pakistan in less than 24 hours.
Earlier last afternoon at 1515 hrs, Pakistan violated truce by firing small arms at Durga Battalion of Poonch Brigade.        (AGENCIES)
