Kathua cops trace missing girl

KATHUA, July 18: Police have traced one girl who was missing since May 23 and reunited her with family members.
A missing report was lodged at Lakhanpur Police Station by father of the girl stating therein that his daughter namely Jenam Daughter of Sham Din of Gandyal tehsil & district Kathua is missing.
Accordingly, a missing report was lodged at Lakhanpur and search was started to trace her.
Acting instantly on the missing report, the girl was traced today and immediately handed over to her legal heirs after completion of all legal formalities.
Family members have applauded the swift action and timely intervention of Kathua Police.
The missing girl was traced by Lakhanpur Police Station team headed by SHO Inspector Sumit Sharma under the supervision of SSP Kathua R C Kotwal.
Meanwhile, District Police Kathua today challaned 26 people who violated the Government order in different forms and a total fine amounting to Rs. 8800 was collected as a penalty from them.
Kathua Police has requested the public of the district to strictly follow all Covid safety guidelines/precautions.
