AIMCCC raises demands of KPs

JAMMU, July 18: AIMCCC has claimed that thousands of kanal of land of Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) left behind in valley was encroached and same is the case of Hindu temple and shrines there wherein no encroached land has been retrieved so far.
In a meeting of AIMCCC chaired by its chief, Desh Rattan Pandita the speakers said that gutted temples and shrines should to be reconstructed at their own place.
They also demanded some lump-sum financial support for the over aged youth of KP community.
“There are thousands of un-registered displaced KPs without any cash assistance while the cash assistance provided to relief holders has been totally ignored for the last some years,” they claimed demanding one Government job for each KP family.
They further said that KPs should also be made beneficiaries of centrally sponsored schemes.
Demand of bore-wells at camps and non-camps of KPs was also raised in the meeting.
Manmohan Kanth, general secretary; J.L Raina, secretary; P.N Jalali, vice president; M.L Booni, cashier and others were also present in the meeting.
