3521 fined for violating COVID SOPs

Srinagar, July 19: Police in Kashmir today penalized over 3500 people for violating COVID-19 SOPs and recovered a fine of over Rs 4.5 lakh during the last 24 hours.
“Continuing its efforts to curb the outbreak of 2nd wave of Coronavirus, during the last 24 hours Police have realized fine to the tune of Rs4,51,530 from 3521 people throughout the Kashmir valley for violating the various guidelines/rules/SOPs regarding Covid-19. Besides, 04 vehicles were also seized in Shopian for violating COVID-19 guidelines,” police said.
Moreover, it said, Police in Kulgam along with Revenue officers conducted market checking and realized a fine to the tune of Rs 3800 from shopkeepers for violating Government orders/COVID-19 norms.
