JAMMU, July 19: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) North Zone organising secretary, Vikrant Khandelwal today held a meeting at State office of the ABVP Ambphalla.
During the meeting with ABVP Jammu Mahanagar Karyakartas, he informed them about the history, formation, goals and achievements of ABVP of last 73 years. He also congratulated the newly elected ABVP Jammu Mahanagar team for session 2021-22.
He said that the Vidyarthi Parishad has continuously struggled for comprehensive educational reforms. Education for life and life for the country is a thought which should be permeated amongst the students. The greatest achievement of ABVP is that it has gifted the country a student organisation which has been built through years of tireless efforts and devotion.
Vikrant also informed Karyakartas about the struggle of ABVP in eighties and nineties during dictatorship of Congress rule as well as its struggle during the emergency.
He discussed about the upcoming events of Mahanagar. ABVP Jammu Mahanagar in the wake of completing of 75 years of independence has taken a target of hoisting 1000 flags on the upcoming Independence Day (15th August) in every streets and wards of Jammu.
In the meeting ABVP North Zone joint organising secretary, Vijay Pratap was also present. Addressing the meeting he said ABVP since its foundation is working with the objective of rebuilding nation which commenced its multi dimensional and multifarious activities, touching every aspect of the societal spectrum. He motivated Karyakartas to work for the nation and also appreciated Karyakartas for their selfless work in COVID-19. He also congratulated the newly elected team of ABVP Jammu Mahanagar for session 2020-21.
In the meeting ABVP Jammu Mahanagar newly elected president Lokinder Singh presented vote of thanks.
Prominent members who were present in the meeting were ABVP Jammu Kashmir State secretary, Mukesh Manhas , State joint secretary, Ramnik Sharma, Jammu Mahanagar secretary, Chahat Anand.
