JAMMU, July 20: Birpur Small Scale Industries Association (BSSIA) has expressed serious concern over the poor functioning of BSNL and alleged that the Industry was facing lot of hardships due to callous attitude of the authorities concerned.
In a meeting of the Association held today at BSSIA office, Birpur Complex today under the chairmanship of its president- Deepak Dhawan where in the main under discussion was the problems being raised by their members concerning the services being provided by the BSNL department in Birpur complex.
They said BSNL has been the backbone of the people of J&K since the Telecom services have been established here. Also, after the mobile services were started in J&K, BSNL has been the only service provider which has lastly been stopped by the administration to provide the services to the state (now UT) in case of any disturbances.
Nowadays, everyone is mostly dependant on Telecom and Internet for the day to day working, and same applies in case of industries also. Every industrialist needs to have proper access to telecom (both landline and mobile) and internet services. Members of the Association are facing serious problems/issues with the deteriorating services of the department. The landline services are in a very poor condition as there is nobody in the department to act upon. The manual complaint numbers are not being picked by the exchange officials and as far as online complaints are concerned the complaint is booked on one day and the other day we receive the sms that the complaint has been resolved with actually false response. This further affects the broadband facilities which are directly linked with landline working. In such a situation, it has been very difficult for the industries to comply with different Government compliances like GST, e-invoicing, e-way bills, online banking, e-tendering etc.
Others present were in the meeting included Ankur Jain senior vice president, Jatin Sachdeva vice president, Gagan Jain – general secretary and Sharad Malhotra- secretary –cum-treasurer.
