JAMMU, July 21: The workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena (DF&SS) held protest against Food, Civil Supplies and Public District (FCS&PD) Department for troubling common man.
The protestors led by President of DF&SS Ashok Gupta raised slogans against FCS&PD Department.
While speaking, Gupta said that rations depots are creating troubles for the common people by not providing allotted ration.
He said that the Government has assigned the ration quota for BPL families of 5 kgs, but the ration dealers are giving only 3.80 kg. The dealers are also charging Rs 4 per kilogram instead of Rs 3 fixed by the Central Government, he added.
Gupta said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is extending all possible help to the common people, but still some are sleeping hungry. He demanded action against the persons who are responsible for creating troubles for the people especially BPL families.
He appealed to the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to look into the matter and initiate action against those who are creating troubles for the people especially BPL families.
Among others present were Deepu, Raj, Sham, Parveen, Prem, Kalu, Naresh, Bantu, etc.
