JAMMU, June 27: Terming the recent visit of Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh and AICC president Mrs Sonia Gandhi as a flop show, BJP said that there were no mention of the thousands of families affected by earthquakes in Kishtwar, Bhaderwah, Doda and other areas, nor any thing was uttered about the refugees from West Pakistan and PoK. Internally displaced families from Kashmir and other parts of the State were also ignored. The visit of Prime Minister and Sonia Gandhi proved to be a total flop show as it ignored the main victims of earthquake, terrorism and partition and border conflict, BJP State president Jugal Kishore Sharma told reporters here today along with Party State general secretaries Bali Bhagat and Kavinder Gupta.
Taking serious exception to CM’s remarks on Article 370 he said National Conference (NC) leadership, Omar Abdullah in particular, must stop arousing the emotions of the Kashmiris in its name and instead of misleading them it should rather come out to give an account of the benefits, if any at all, that his Governance has bestowed on the common man.
Bali Bhagat, while advising Omar Abdullah to salute Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, said that the provision of permit system got revoked with sacrifice of late Jana Sangh president who launched agitation seeking its revocation got it abolished once for all. It was due to his (Dr Mookerjee’s) sacrifices that Omar Abdullah enjoys freedom to fly direct to Delhi or other states without standing in queue to obtain permit for leaving and entering state.
Kavinder Gupta, announced that the Party will organise programmes at district and Mandal levels across the state to celebrate the birth anniversary of Dr. Mookerjee, wherein protest demonstrations will be held demanding abrogation of separate symbols, in the state under the slogan of Ek Nishaan aur Ek Vidhaan.
