Samba police books 119 violators of COVID SOPs

SAMBA, July 25 : Continuing its crackdown on violators of COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB), Samba police today in a joint drive with district civil administration booked 119 persons across the district and imposed a fine amounting to Rs 59,500/- on them.
In order to enforce COVID SOPs and to ensure that the people of district Samba follow COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB), the various joint teams of Samba Police and district civil administration booked 119 persons for not wearing face masks and not following the social distancing norms.
Police has renewed its appeal to citizens of Samba district to always wear a face mask and be strict to COVID appropriate behaviour as these are the key preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.
It has further advised to maintain social distancing and personal hygiene.
