3-day long Chandi Maha Yaga concludes at Kheer Bhawani

SRINAGAR, July 25: The three-day long Chandi Maha Yagya organised by Pt Prem Nath Shastri Sanaskritik Shodh Sansthan and Jyothsi Karyalya Gole Gujral, Jammu at Mata Kheer Bhawani Shrine, Tulmulla, Ganderbal for invoking the blessings of Goddess for welfare of mankind which has suffered a lot due to dreaded COVID Pandemic since last two years concluded today.
The Maha Yagya was solemnized under the patronage of Pt Omkar Nath Shastri, chairman of the Shodh Sansthan in which the religious scholars recited the mantras to please the Goddess and invoke her blessings for human welfare and prosperity.
Giving religious discourses on the occasion Pt Omkar Nath Shastri highlighted the religious significance of Chandi Maha Yagya as per Hindu scriptures and stressed the community not to go astray from the religious bindings.
Giving details Jyothsi Avtar Krishan Shastri, spokesman of the Sansthan said that Sansthan had organised 108 Hawans in 2007 at different shrines in Jammu and Kashmir which concluded with Chandi Maha Yagya later and this time again Maha Yagya was solemnized at Mata Kheer Bhawani Shrine Tulmulla to invoke the blessing of Goddess for betterment of mankind.
He also demanded development of Kheer Bhawani shrine which is one of the most sacred Hindu shrines of J&K with construction of more dharmshallas for accommodation of pilgrims visiting here throughout the year.
A large number of devotees drawn from different parts of J&K participated in the religious function who were served with Prashad after Puranahuti.
