Grenade recovered from hospital in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, June 28: Police today recovered a grenade from a hospital in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district after a militant sneaked into it with ammunition.

On a tip-off that a militant had sneaked into the hospital carrying some ammunition, police evacuated patients and staff and began a search operation, Superintendent of Police, Kulgam, Mohammad Shafi Mir told reporters.

On search, police recovered a grenade but the militant escaped by mingling with patients.

“We have launched a manhunt to nab the militant,” he said. (AGENCIES)
