JAMMU, June 28: In a petition filed by Dr Rehmatullah, Vice President ruling National Conference seeking investigation from Vigilance Organization or Crime Branch into alleged misappropriation of Rs 94,56, 493 in Doda Municipality, State High Court today directed the SSP Doda to submit status report regarding progress of investigation into the FIR. He was also directed to monitor the investigation in the case, ensure its completion within a period of one month or appear in person.
These directions were issued after the petitioner submitted before the High Court that even one year after the registration of FIR on July 9, 2012 except collection of records nothing has been done till date as such the case must be transferred to Vigilance or Crime Branch.
After hearing Advocate SS Ahmed appearing for the petitioner, Justice A M Magrey issued notice to the respondents returnable within two weeks. In the meanwhile, Court directed SSP Doda to submit the status report regarding progress of investigation in FIR No 153/2012 and monitor the investigation in the case. He was also directed to ensure completion of investigation within a period of one month.
“In case SSP Doda fails to comply with the order he shall remain personally present along with case dairies on the next date of hearing”, the High Court said.
