MENDHAR, July 30: Senior National Conference leader and former Deputy Chairman J&K Legislative Council, Javed Ahmed Rana today called on the government to ease trust deficit between the public and administration.
While addressing a party meeting in Mendhar, Javed Rana said, despite the fact that Jammu and Kashmir was in a fear, onus is now on the government to display the leadership again. He said there is trust deficit between the Government and public and efforts should be from the government to minimise it.
The party unit also passed resolution for restoration of united Jammu and Kashmir State, along with divisional Status for Rajouri and Poonch.
Rana expressed dismay over functioning of departments in Mendhar constituency. He said almost all the schemes be it of water or road network, are defunct. Departments have not able to ease the suffering of the public. Most of schemes which were approved during his tenure have still not completed, despite having enough money.
He further said that it is the obligation of the government to provide governance at the door steps and administration must ensure that governance reaches at the door steps, which would eventually leads to easing out trust deficit.
Rana also raised the issue of unemployed youths in his constituency. He said that Government has failed to fulfill its promise of providing jobs to unemployed youth of Jammu and Kashmir and this is not a good sign for our future. Government must come out with concrete plan and reach out to them and protect their future.
He appreciated the role of Tribal Department for providing for providing of funds for Tribal villages and demanded extend of submission DPR date as most of the villages couldn’t be included in the list. The party unit also demanded BADP Model villages for the inhabitants of general category population.
