JAMMU, July 31: Domana and Drabshala Police arrested two thieves and recovered stolen items from their possession.
As per police sources, while investigation a case registered under FIR Number 158/2021 Sections 454 and 380 IPC regarding theft of gold and silver ornaments and cash from a residential house at Chandan Vihar Muthi, a special team of Police Station Domana led by PSI Anoop Kumar was constituted under the guidance of SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma.
During the investigation, several CCTVs around the area were analysed and finally the thief was arrested, who was identified as Amarjeet Singh, son of late Charanjeet Singh of Model Town Gangyal District Jammu.
On his disclosure, gold and silver ornaments worth around Rs 35,000 and cash Rs 2,000 has been recovered.
It is pertinent to mention here that the said accused person is habitual offender and has previously been involved different cases registered with Police Stations Janipur, Gangyal and Gandhi Nagar in District Jammu.
The recoveries and arrest have been made under the guidance of under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul and SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma.
Meanwhile, a complaint was lodged by a man namely Khursheed Ahmad, son of Abdul Qayoom of Tatani Saroor with Police Post Drabshala stating that his livestock worth Rs 2.3 lakh has been stolen by some unknown person/persons from Saroor.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 164/2021 under Section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, DySP Headquarters Kishtwar Devinder Singh Bandral constituted a special team led by Incharge Police Post Drabshala Inspector Naseer Ahmad which after strenuous efforts arrested the accused within 72 hours. The accused was identified as Abdul Latief, son of Fulli Gujjar of Baroti Saroor.
On his disclosure, stolen livestock worth Rs 2.3 lakh were recovered.
The team worked out the case under the supervision of Additional SP Kishtwar Rajinder Singh.
