Apni Party leaders’ plea to Government

SRINAGAR, July 31: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) State coordinator displaced Kashmiri Pandits, Sanjay Dhar today appealed to the Lt. Governor of J&K and Chief Secretary to direct all Deputy Commissioners who are the sole custodians of migrant properties under Immovable Migrant Property Act 1996-97 in Kashmir to address the grievances and complaints of displaced Pandits seriously and dispose off them in a time bound manner without any further delay.
In a statement issued here, Sanjay Dhar said that he has been receiving numerous representations from displaced community who allege that their grievances and applications pertaining to any matter are not being taken seriously nor they are being disposed off in a time bound period on lower level thus they face great hardships on such count.
Dhar appealed to the Lt. Governor and Divisional Commissioner Kashmir to direct all the Deputy Commissioners to get the grievances or application pertaining to any important issues of migrants resolved at an earliest.
Meanwhile AP Coordinator for Jammu, Vinod Pandita demanded immediate construction of quarters for displaced persons living in rented accommodations in Jammu.
He in an appeal to Government urged it to construct new two room tenements at Purkhoo to accommodate the migrants living in old ORTs there in a miserable condition.
He said the plight of these people is worst and they need immediate attention. He also demanded enhancement of cash relief.
