Durga Nagar Committee submits memorandum to Advisor

JAMMU, Aug 2: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee president, Roshan Lal Raina called on Advisor to LG, Baseer Ahmed Khan at Srinagar and presented a memorandum highlighting the problems of the residents of Durga Nagar to him.
The memorandum demanded replacement of Feeder Number 6 leading to Sector No 2 at Roop Nagar Grid Station, installation of four ling sets in Durga Nagar, Sector 1, installation of 100 kv transformer in Kabir Chowk and 250 kv in Sector 3 and connecting of Padha Lane transformer to Feeder No 9, providing of Rs 25 lakh to Municipality Jammu as estimates have been approved and tenders have been allotted by the Municipality but the execution of work is pending.
The memorandum also demanded filling up of vacant post of ACR in Relief Office Jammu and DC Relief in Srinagar to ease the problems of migrants, implementation of SRO 127 of RBA category for waiting list Statistical assistants who are at the verge of overage.
The Advisor issued instructions to his staff to issue instructions to all concerned departments for redressal of all their problems without any delay.
Raina later met Secretary Relief and Rehabilitation Simrandeep Singh, Director Finance, Zahoor Ahmed and appealed him that funds in light of furniture, fixture, settlement of medical claims and other ancillary works be released to Relief Organisation Jammu.
Raina also called of Vice President, J&K Bank Imtiyaz Ahmed Bhat and appealed him to install ATM at Durga Nagar Sector 1 and also demanded posting of adequate staff at J&K Branch, Durga Nagar.
Meanwhile chairman of the Committee, Ravinder Bakshi has urged the Executive Engineer, R&B Jammu to start the tendered work of drainage in the area without any delay.
