JAMMU, Aug 3: A youth drowned in river Chenab in the area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Gharota.
As per police sources, a youth identified as Lasksh (22), son of Vinod, a resident of Ganga Nagar Bantalab District Jammu was taking bath in river Chenab when he accidentally slipped in drowned in river.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and divers were pressed in to fish out the body from the river. The body of the youth was not fished out from the river when last reports were compiled.
Gharota Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
