Kavinder asks PHE Deptt to resume water supply in Deeli

JAMMMU, Aug 6: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today asserted that his party’s sole objective is to act as ‘facilitator’ for people in need and uplift the downtrodden through rendering selfless service.
The former Deputy Chief Minister was addressing the residents of Deeli locality falling in Ward No. 55 where he had gone to take stock of water scarcity as the tube-well was out of order for the last over four months.
After assessing the situation and considering that the problem is genuine, Kavinder called all the concerned officials of the PHE Department on the spot. He exhorted them to immediately come into action and without any excuses resume the water supply. He asked the concerned staff to shun lethargy and act fast as it is difficult to bear such hot and humid weather conditions without the water supply.
As the locals told the former Deputy Chief Minister that they have send multiple representations to the concerned officers regarding the issue but to no avail as they showed a phlegmatic attitude towards the problem. He said that people in need should immediately approach him or any other BJP leader for such grievances as the entire BJP is standing behind the people for facilitating and resolving their issues.

He was also accompanied by PHE engineers including Kuldeep Khajuria Executive Engineer, PHE Civil, Vijay Suman Gupta Executive Engineer, PHE Mechanical and other officers.
Kavinder said that it is the duty of the PHE Department to ensure clean potable water to the people and during such an emergent crisis the Department should take swift action in arranging some alternatives.
Chairman Public Health and Sanitation JMC, Narinder Singh Jamwal assured that till the problem of water is not resolved in the vicinity the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) will provide the potable water tankers to the people for catering to their emergent needs.
