RS PURA, Aug 6: DDC Member Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony has claimed that Chairman JKPDC Jagmohan Sharma in principle agreed on setting up an exclusive Grid Station at Suchetgarh to ameliorate power scenario in the area and also assured to give a fillip to power edifice in the bordering Suchetgarh constituency which is facing power outage crisis due to poor infra.
The Chairman JKPDC purportedly gave assurance after Taranjit Singh Tony met him and demanded a separate Grid Station in a whopping 100 kanals land chunk to improve the electricity supply in the entire border belt. Ashok Kumar Chibber, XEn Distribution System was also present in the meeting.
Tony particularly laid stress on improving power infrastructure in Suchetgarh belt where people are reeling under dismal condition as power infra is dilapidated in the entire border belt and can collapse any time.
In a statement issued to media, Tony said that both the officials gave nod to the proposed Grid Station and assured that they will soon visit the border town Suchetgarh to finalize the land for Gird Station. He said it will resolve the power crisis in the border belt including Suchetgarh, Miran Sahib, R S Pura, Arnia and Bishnah.
The DDC Member said that this will be a big gift for the people of the border belt as they are facing a power crisis for the last so many decades. He said that he will continue with his efforts until people of his constituency will get all the basic facilities at their doorsteps.
The DDC Member said it is unfortunate that after so many years of independence this region, despite being very close to the winter capital of the UT, is reeling under utter neglect of official machinery. He assured to transform the development profile in the coming time and asked the people to have patience for a few more days as all their genuine issues will be projected and resolved sooner than later.
