Residents facing problems due to non-availability of drinking water

JAMMU, Aug 6: The residents of village Gurha Jattan in Ghagwal are facing problems due to non-availability of drinking water.
The residents through Raj Kumar, a senior citizen said that their area is not being supplied drinking water properly. The residents said water supply is not functioning properly as the main feeding pipe has been blocked. “We informed the concerned official, who during visit found the pipe blocked to maximum capacity”, they added.
“The official reportedly informed the higher authorities of Jal Shakti Department Samba, but till today no corrective measure has been taken, which has compelled the locals to fetch water from nearby areas or purchasing water from owners of private tankers”, the residents informed.
The residents urged the concerned authorities to look into the matter on priority and ensure regular water supply to their area.
