JAMMU, Aug 8: Expressing apprehensions about the return and rehabilitation package, Panun Kashmir (PK) today urged the Lt. Governor of J&K to re-examine the content of the return and rehabilitation policies with regard to internally displaced Hindus of Kashmir over the years and recognize that such policies were never meant for their permanent sustainable return.
Talking to reporters here, today PK convener, Dr Agnishekhar and its chairman, Dr Ajay Chrungoo said that actually these policies were only aimed at handing them over to a social and political order that perpetrated genocide against the community.
“It is our considered view that the return and rehabilitation policies of successive Governments in J&K for Hindus of Kashmir have never been driven by a sincere design to seek their permanent and sustainable return but actually aimed at denial of their genocide”, .
They said GoI and successive Governments in Jammu and Kashmir have been more concerned about fudging and hiding the grave crime against humanity of religious cleansing committed in Kashmir against Hindus.
“We urge LG to look into the content and motivation of the employment policy over the years for Hindus of Kashmir to seek their return. This policy essentially treats them as bonded laborers prying on their destitution. Their normal rights as employees of Government are gravely compromised. They are denied normal promotions and benefits simply because they have been recruited as per PM’s employment package”, they said.
The PK leaders said in fact the whole employment package for internally displaced Hindus has turned out to be sinister process of hostaging them to a Muslim order with which successive Governments of the day have sought to strike political deals.
Agnishekhar and Ajay while taking a dig at Government asked “Is the Government aware that conversions have actually happened in Kashmir in recent times? Is it aware about the demeaning and dehumanizing acts taking place against such employees from time to time and why did the State Government refuse to bear the financial burden of 3000 employees as per the declared PM’s employment package?
They urged the LG to recognise the imperative necessity of expunging all elements from its policy with regard to Hindus of Kashmir that contribute towards the denial of their genocide and prevent its Government from committing such a crime.
The PK also urged the UT Government and GoI to take seriously the developments in Afghanistan.
They made it clear that creation of Centrally administered UT of Panun Kashmir in Kashmir is the only way for sustainable return of Indian civilization and exiled Hindus to Kashmir.
PK senior leaders Kuldeep Raina, Shailender Aima and Satish Sher were also present in the press conference.
