Septuagenarian dies due to fall, woman allegedly commits suicide

JAMMU, Aug 8: A septuagenarian died due to fall, while a woman allegedly commits suicide by jumping from flyover bridge and an accident victim succumbed to his injuries here today, police sources said.
The man, who died due to fall, has been identified as Bhushan Lal Dhar (72), son of Ram Chand Dhar, a resident of Jagti Nagrota District Jammu.
The septuagenarian was seriously injured due to fall in Jagti area of Nagrota and was rushed to ASCOMS Batra from where he was later taken to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Meanwhile, a woman identified as Sonia Sharma (29), wife of Sanjay Sharma, a resident of Dai Chak District Jammu allegedly commits suicide by jumping from flyover bridge near S Moth view point in Nagrota area here today.
The bodies of the septuagenarian and woman have been shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for post-mortem, which will be conducted tomorrow.
Nagrota Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
However, an accident victim succumbed to his injuries at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
The deceased was identified as Sunil Sharma, son of Dev Raj of New Plot District Jammu. He was injured when his scooter hit a divider near Satwari on July 31 this year and was rushed to GMCH Jammu, where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries today afternoon.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased has been handed over to family members for last rites.
A case FIR Number 197/2021 under relevant Sections stands registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation is going on.
